A LITTLE BACKSTORY...OR SKIP AHEAD FOR

When I first started out everyone told me I should put my name as my business but that just felt off.

​

I was trying so hard to find a way to describe WHY and WHAT my purpose for taking photos was about - and me and my name weren't it.

​

My work is not about me.

It's about you.

​

So why would I use my name?

​

I wanted to find a way to say that the everyday little moments in your lives are what make the biggest and greatest of memories.

​

An image is just simply a story captured in time. A tale immortalised as a picture, its cheesy but its true!

​

Adding my love for black and white because it forces the eye to see the subject and not the distraction of colours popping out. I feel the tone gives that extra depth.

Thus, Tales and Tones was born.

​

So next time you hear of "the girl dressed in black that takes photos" or the "Tales and something photographer" ... this is me.

​

I dress in black because that's what I feel the best in.

While it is the unofficial attire of the service industry, black also serves as a canvas for the chaos of my life and I feel the most 'me' when I'm in it.

On our shoots I encourage you to do the same.

Come dressed like 'you'. Whatever you feel best in.

Not what you feel you should wear or what's most aesthetic or trending, but rather something you'll be happy to share snaps of over the dining room table in years to come.

And when you're ready I'll be there.

......THE PHOTOSHOOT DETAILS

Life is complicated enough to keep things simple, I offer a one size fits all Photoshoot called a "Portrait Session"

 This include a 1 hour shoot time and come complete with all edits, high res digital images and an online secure gallery for delivery.

​

So if you'd like to do a new born shoot, a family shoot, a backyard event, or you'd like me to document you pegging out your clothes. I don't mind. we can fill in an hour however you please. 

​

The only exceptions to this is, an extended family photo shoot so we have extra shooting time and photos. and a combo maternity + new-born shoot. 

​These are added to make it more economical for you.
